Q: What does Preston Surgery Center’s all-inclusive cash pricing include?

A: The posted all-inclusive cash price is in reference to the anesthesiologist, surgeon, and surgery center fees.

 

Q: The procedure my doctor recommended is not listed on PrestonSurgeryCenter.com?

A: Our website contains the most commonly performed procedures at our facility. This is not an all-inclusive list. If you require a procedure that is not listed on our website, please contact our facility at 214.387.4100, and we will provide you with a price quote.

 

Q: What if I am having surgery at Preston Surgery Center and have medical insurance?

A: If you have medical insurance and plan to use this for your procedure, the cash pricing section of our website is not applicable.

 

Q: Are there any additional costs I can expect to pay beyond the posted online price?

A: Our goal is to provide you with full transparency regarding the total cost of your procedure. The following scenarios may require additional expenses beyond the posted online price. Any costs for travel are not included. Depending on your procedure, medical device implants may be required and not included in the posted price. If implants are required and not already included in the posted price, you will be given a copy of the invoice from the vendor and be required to pay this amount with no additional up-charge. Depending on your procedure, biopsies or samples may be required and sent to pathology for review; pathology expense is not included in the posted price. Any pre- or post-operative blood work, imaging studies, physical therapy, and/or durable medical equipment are not included in the posted price. If for any reason you experience a post-operative issue or complication, the expense of a visit to an urgent care, emergency room, or hospital is not included in the posted price.

 

Q: How do I prepare for surgery as a cash-paying patient at Preston Surgery Center?

A: Your provider should discuss and provide necessary surgical clearance with a referral to Preston Surgery Center. Depending on your procedure, these may include CBC, CMP, cardiac clearance, etc.

 

Q: How do I pay for my procedure?

A: You will pay Preston Surgery Center for the amount quoted in full. We will then facilitate the appropriate payments to your anesthesiologist and surgeon. We also have financing options available.

 

Q: What forms of payments do you accept?

A: Certified cashiers check, cash, and credit card.

 

Q: How will follow-up care be provided following my procedure?

A: Depending on your procedure, your follow-up care may fall in the global period. Please contact your surgeon or referring provider on an as-needed basis.

 

Q: Is Preston Surgery Center an accredited facility?

A: Yes, Preston Surgery Center is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). AAAASF is one of the three leading U.S. organizations that accredits ambulatory, outpatient, and surgeon clinics. This entity was established in 1980 to standardize and improve the quality of medical and surgical care in outpatient facilities and assure that patient safety is a top priority. All surgeons must provide proof of board certification and fellowship training prior to applying for staff privileges at our facility.
